Description

This charming 1831 Greek Revival home known as The Captain Holmes Smith House and more modern guest house offer privacy and space for different generations to enjoy only two and a half blocks to Main Street on historic South Summer Street. The main house has three main bedrooms, one bunk room for children with laundry area, and a maid’s room. It has three baths. The first floor features a spacious master bedroom with en suite bathroom; a living room with attached TV room/library; a dining room that seats 10; and a kitchen that seats 8 and has a pantry area with wet bar. The master bedroom holds a desktop computer, and printer/fax machine combination that tenants may use. The TV room has a large upholstered platform perfect for reading and afternoon naps. French doors lead from the kitchen to the large, highly private and professionally landscaped rear garden with perennial borders, a patio dining area, and a screened outdoor dining room that adjoins the guest house. The guest house has a living room with wet bar and apartment-sized refrigerator; a bath with shower; and a loft bedroom holding twin beds. The driveway holds several cars.

Guest house has 1 large air conditioning unit but it does not have heat, not suitable for the off season.
There are air conditioners in all bedrooms in the main house and one in the kitchen.
